Our history is one of heritage. The brand’s origins and roots are associated with the legendary Château du Breuil.
A true Normandy flagship property, for over 400 years the estate has been owned by prominent families who have lovingly preserved it.
Today, the person writing a new chapter in this illustrious history is Frédéric Dussart. Building La Spiriterie Française, Château du Breuil Normandy is an exciting and bold challenge for this former IT executive who has succeeded in transferring his passion for wine into a passion for spirits. In his undertaking, he can rely on the expertise of the Château’s staff and the unwavering support of his family and friends.
Together they form an inspired team who share a love of spirits and who are seeking to broaden the appeal of Château du Breuil by developing the production of Rums and Whiskies in addition to Calvados.
To coordinate this new strategy, and perpetuate the tradition of excellence, the team can draw on the support of its Cellar Master, Philippe Etignard. Having already worked for some while in the wine industry, Philippe Etignard has now been applying his savoir-faire to the world of spirits for nearly 10 years. His wealth of experience has led him to take a unique approach in the practice of his craft that is appreciated by everyone.
For this virtuoso of French-style ageing, perfection is a free interpretation of balance, a harmony that can be wonderfully out of sync, a stability that can be excitingly disturbed.
