For their The Whistler whiskeys, the raw materials used are 100% natural and 100% Irish, and the water is drawn from the family spring. Distillation is carried out in hand-crafted copper stills and the family’s 2,000 casks provide an infinite variety of ageing options.
OLOROSO SHERRY CASK FINISH
Whistler Oloroso Sherry Finish Cask is triple distilled or extra smoothness. It is aged in two different casks. Firstly in bourbon casks, which give the whiskey a soft warmth and secondly in Oloroso Sherry casks, which impart fruity overtones.
Palate
Bergamot and orange coat the palate. There is a slight minerality associated with the dried black fruit, and a touch of Brie and pear
Bouquet
Lemon sorbet, white grapes, walnuts and nougat along with raspberry and black fruit notes
