In the heart of the Boyne Valley, the Cooney family continues a long tradition of excellence. For their The Whistler whiskeys, the raw materials used are 100% natural and 100% Irish, and the water it uses is drawn from the family spring. Distillation is carried out in handmade copper stills and the family’s 2,000 casks provide an infinite variety of ageing options.
IRISH HONEY LIQUEUR
This liqueur is the result of an infusion of some of the most elegant whiskeys, aged first in Bourbon casks and then finished in sherry casks, with honey sourced directly from the orchards belonging to the Cooney family, owners of The Whistler. Marie Cooney, the co-founder of the brand, is the main beekeeper and personally oversees the population and care of the bees.
The palate opens with well-balanced whiskey aromas, which are instantly followed by notes of creamy vanilla and caramel. The finish is long and smooth with notes of honey and almonds.
Powerful nose with creamy notes of honeycomb, caramel, and toasted almonds, as well as the inimitable nuances of an unctuous Irish whiskey.
