Description
THE DISTILLERY
Founded in 1825, Glencadam was acquired by the Angus Dundee Distillers Group in 2003. Its exceptionally fruity character is partly due to the shape of its stills, mounted by a gooseneck whose angle, instead of descending, rises slightly, thus increasing the backflow of the alcohol vapours. Introduced in Europe at the beginning of 2009, the new range was presented at the prestigious World Whisky Awards. Against all odds, but not the expectations of its owners, the Glencadam 10 year old was awarded the coveted title of “best single malt in its category” (single malt under 12 years old)
