The Aldea distillery is located on La Palma in the Canary Islands and has been run by the Quevedo family for four generations. To create this Ron Aldea Maestro, the master rum maker has used nothing but American white oak casks to ensure an optimal ageing process. This wonderful recipe is the creation of the Quevedo family’s four generations of master rum makers.
Perfect as an aperitif or after-dinner drink, it also makes a great cocktail ingredient. For dessert, it goes wonderfully well with red fruit.
On the palate, the oak is soft, revealing notes of cocoa, vanilla and coconut, with a slight aroma of honey and spices. The finish is marked by fresh vegetal notes
The nose opens with oaky notes of cedar and tobacco and goes on to reveal dried herbs, along with notes of dried banana and honey.
