Domaine de la Pouyade’s 25 hectares of vineyards are located in Juillac-le-Coq in the heart of the “Grande Champagne” region, also known as the “golden triangle”. The sunny exposure of the vineyards on the upper slopes is ideal for the production of wine destined for distillation. Ugni Blanc is the Domaine’s main grape variety and provides all the qualities necessary for distillation as its wine is fine and delicate and possesses a high acidity, low tannin and an alcohol content of between 9% and 11%. It is distilled on the lees in the traditional Charentaise double-distillation still.
This Cognac is a young Grande Champagne, which is light and naturally fresh, with floral notes, vine flowers, linden, followed by fruitier citrus notes (citrus peel).
A treat at any time of day, served neat or as a long drink. It also makes an excellent base for cocktails and can be used in cooking.
Floral notes, vine flower, linden, fruit and citrus peel. Smooth on the palate with a lingering finish – a touch of tobacco.
The nose is very fruity with spicy and sweet notes.
